THE 150TH IS COMING! Planning is already well underway for a weekend of tradition, camaraderie, and musical excellence to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Club. Watch your mail for details of the weekend, April 8-10 in Ann Arbor - events will include an alumni concert, opportunities to meet up with clubbers from your years, and of course the spring Hill concert. If we don't have your postal address, or if you can point us to guys you sang with who may not be on our list, please go to our website at www.ummgc.org to update our information. If you're interested in getting involved, please e-mail mgc.150th@umich.edu

Chanticleer Visits UMMGC!

The University Musical Society, School of Music, Theatre & Dance, and the Men's Glee Club collaborated to present a master class by "the world's reigning male chorus" (New Yorker) in conjunction with Chanticleer's concert stop in Ann Arbor the evening of January 29.

Club rescheduled its regular evening rehearsal so that the guys could attend the concert, and over 60 of the 100 took the opportunity to buy reduced-rate tickets to what was an astoundingly powerful evening of music. Chanticleer twice made gracious mention of Club during the concert - even responding to our snaps with some of their own - and came out en masse to Cottage Inn after the concert to join our troops for the usual mix of singing and merriment. It was a highly educational and memorable residency that Clubbers will be talking about for years to come.
