2026 Male Vocal Arts Day

The Men's Glee Club is pleased to announce our 2026 Male Vocal Arts Day!

Male Vocal Arts Day is back for 2026! The University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance and the University of Michigan Men’s Glee Club are pleased to present this year’s Male Vocal Arts Day on Saturday, January 10th, 2026! We are thrilled to once again provide this exciting opportunity for high school singers and their choir directors.

Male Vocal Arts Day is a day devoted to fostering musical passion and building choral community. Students will receive music after checking in on the morning of January 10th, and the day will be dedicated to rehearsals and sectionals with Men’s Glee Club members, led by our new Music Director, Dr. Matthew Abernathy. We hope to simulate a real college rehearsal experience! There will also be a focus on showing the importance of staying involved with music in college, as we display the vast array of different academic interests within the Men’s Glee Club! Directors and other staff are encouraged to participate in the Director’s Chat with Dr. Abernathy. The day will culminate in a free public concert at the historic Hill Auditorium, where the high school singers will perform together with the Men's and Women's Glee Clubs, who will also showcase additional pieces from their current concert repertoire. Feel free to invite friends and family!
